Transfer Station

The Oakfield Transfer Station is open Friday 830 to 430 and Saturday 8 am to 1 pm.  The household trash fee is 10 cents per pound.  The town currently has a five year contract with Casella for transporting and taking our trash that ends December 31, 2023.  The town was a longtime non chartered member of Municipal Review Committee and that membership ended with the closing of the PERC facility in Orrington, Maine.

This facility opened in 1992.
